My loss your gain here. Originally retailed for $5000++. Up for sale is this vintage German made Schmeckenbecher grandfather clock in good outlook condition. Sold as is!! Sold as is. It has not been used for years, so a servicing maintenance is required to get it to run nicely and have the clocksman calibrate it again. There are many service personnel out there who can maintain and service these time pieces. My grandparents last serviced this in 2003, and thereafter left it because they migrated overseas.

Selling my rare and collectible vintage Glashütte GUB naval ship clock, made in Germany. In all original state, the casing is in good condition with no major damage. Locking mechanism is in place and also comes with the original winding key. Clock is in working condition, albeit running a bit fast. A service is recommended if one intends to use it for timekeeping. Definitely a great conversational / decorative piece for watch and clock aficionados. Received the antique clock as a gift decades ago. Display it on and off over the years, on shelf depending on home deco and my mood. It is a dial clock with a glass door that can be opened. The hours and minutes hands of the clock will move if it is being dial. It has numbers on the back written as 4457 120/23 (not not sure what it is) The clock is 26cm in diameter. Blue rim is about cm thick.
