Description

Kickstart your journey into the art of block printing, catered to those with little or no prior experience in working with block printing. Carving block is traditionally a printmaking tool and is used to cut images that can be reproduced a number of times. Many stampers, however, use carving block to create their own stamps and this is often known as soft block carving through to traditional linoleum (lino cutting). Customise your own block prints with us and print them on various materials (Like tote bag, T shirts, cards and many more! We teach a skill and in each of our classes, we will teach you the basic cutting, carving technique and different type of finishing. Learn the basic techniques of block printing and how to use various crafting tools to make and refine your prints. Our facilitators will provide step by step guidance and explanations on the basic techniques and tools. Most students are able to kickstart their crafting journey with just one or two classes, depending on individual skill set. All tools and materials required to make the product will be provided. Book a class here today. All workshops will be held at our nicely renovated studio in Joo Chiat.
